Food Rules by Michael Pollan

Food Rules is Michael Pollan’s latest release.

The book is not a diet plan either. This is a very quick read, very straight forward and tells like it is. It is premise of the K.I.S.S. Theory, keep it simple.

One of his chapters is titled “Avoid foods with ingredients that 3rd graders cannot pronounce”. That is the whole chapter.  Over the last 3 posts,  I have given you 3 different books with 3 different approaches to the same ending: taking better care of you!

If you find your body well, you will also be feeding your mind and your soul well. That is definitely a win-win situation. After all if you don’t take good care of yourself than it makes it impossible for me to take care of you.

Let’s be partners in health care!

The Body Book by Cameron Diaz

The Body Book is a new release by Cameron Diaz.

This is not a diet book either. The book empowers women to nourish their bodies rather than just eating. She also encourages women to see exercise as self care and ways to prevent disease rather than seeing exercise as a chore or just another thing you “have” to do on a daily basis.

Very similar to The Daniel Plan, she is telling you to love the body you are in and take the best care of it that you can, one day at time. This book empowers without being pushy, gives women permission to love themselves, and is a feel good book.

The happy ending is up to you.

The Daniel Plan

The Daniel Plan

The Daniel plan is not, I repeat, not a diet plan.  Instead, it is a spiritual lifestyle change.  The plan is based on the book of Daniel, (from the bible), where Daniel was tempted with every kind of rich food imaginable, but instead chose to eat clean.

He sustained himself with fruits and veggies.

A lesson we could all learn from.
