The newest treatment for osteoporosis is called Atelvia.
It is in the same class as Actonel, Boniva, and Fosamax, but the great news is you don’t have to wait 30 minutes for your breakfast or coffee. You take it with your breakfast even if your breakfast is just coffee, (which it shouldn’t be but that’s a whole different subject). Atelvia is coated so it doesn’t get absorbed in the stomach, but in the small intestine so there is less stomach upset as well.
It’s easy, convenient, and is well tolerated so there really are no excuses for having weak bones!
